My pregnant days are almost over.

Well, it seems that I may not have to wait 4 more weeks after all...
I went to the doctor on Monday and my blood pressure was high 148/90! So, when the doc measured my belly and it was only measuring 33 weeks instead of 35 weeks, he was concerned. He decided to have me do a non-stress test. The baby's heart rate dropped quite a bit below 120 for a little bit. And that also concerned him. He says... "Dr. Rogers rule number 1. It's easy to make a good baby look bad, but you can't make a bad baby look good." Mostly he is a good baby, but he was concerned about my blood pressure along with the non-stress test. So, he scheduled me to be induced Thursday, July 2nd! But to come back to see him the next day, and he would decide for sure if the baby would come that soon. So, Monday night Trevor, his dad, and his grandpa gave me a priesthood blessing. It must have been just what I needed... Tuesday I went in for my appt. and my blood pressure was down 120/70. whew! Much better. So, he did an ultrasound to check my amniotic fluid. Which, the levels were all good. So, we did another non-stress test... and passed. The baby's heart rate never dropped below 130! He decided it's a good baby, but he is still a concerned enough to start me, just not this week! So, Wednesday, July 8th baby Gardner will come. Yep, my doctor is going to start me next week! I'll probably be slow to post after he gets here, but I'll try to keep you all updated!

A Very Thoughtful Husband

As some of you know, it's my birthday today. And I wanted to show off the amazing gift Trevor got for me. He thought it up all by himself and I LOVE IT!!!

He said the cutest thing about this picture before I realized he bought it for me... He said..."That's our little boy." I thought it was so cute. He told me after he gave it to me. When he went to Deseret Book to buy a picture, he immediately narrowed down his options to this one and one other. He decided on this one because we are going to have a little boy, and that's what he thought of when he looked at this picture was our little boy up in heaven. He is the best husband in the entire world! Thank you Trevor for the amazing gift and for all you do. I love you!

PICTURES AND A QUICK UPDATE

Well, It's been a really long time since I've posted. So here is a quick update...

Over Memorial Day weekend, We went with Trevor's family up on Boulder Mountain to go camping. It was my first and last camping trip during pregnancy. It was a little uncomfortable and there wasn't much I could do, but sit. But it was still pretty fun.

A few weeks later... on June 6th, Andrea and Rebekah with help from my mother in law put together a great babyshower. Thanks to everyone who came. And thanks for all the great gifts. It was a fun time. We played a couple games and ate some yummy treats. It turned out great. Thanks! That was a fun weekend because most of my family came down, so we got to spend some time with them.





Baby update... he is still growing lots, and so I'm I. Although I'm quite lucky everyone tells me I'm still small. I only have 5 weeks left til my due date and it seems like time has started going slower and slower. The nursery is pretty much finished, so now we are just waiting. We still haven't decided on a name, but we have a few picked out. We know we will never truly be ready, but we are preparing as much as possible.

Late Happy Mothers Day

Well, I don't have any recent pictures of my mom or my mother in law, but I wanted to wish them a happy mothers day. I want to tell them thanks for everything they do for me. I look up to you both! I hope I can be as a good of a mom as you two are. I love you! Hope you had a wonderful mothers day!

The KitchenAid

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a KitchenAid. I wanted to learn how to bake better...

So, I decided to get brave and try something new...

I made Cinnamon rolls for the first time in my life! They turned out pretty good, but the first roll of dough was really ugly. Then once I got the hang of it... they looked like Cinnamon rolls! Why anyone would actually make dough without a KitchenAid or Bosch is beyond me! The KitchenAid has become my best friend in the kitchen. Can you guess which ones I made first?

Salt Lake Baby Shower

Last Friday we had a graduation celebration/babyshower! My aunt Alice was kind enough to let us have the party at her house. And my sisters were kind enough to plan it. Thanks :)
We played a few games, ate some cake, and had a fun time!
I got lots of really great gifts. Thanks by the way! It's weird how getting stuff for the baby makes it seem more real. I'm more excited for the little guy to be born, so I can use all my gifts! Thanks everyone for a great time.

Rebekah Graduation!

Hooray for Rebs! Last week she graduated with her Masters degree from the University of Utah! We are very happy for her! Congrats Rebs!
