Pictures of the Boys

I get professional pictures taken every year of my kids.  Baylee did such an amazing job!  She is a great photographer.  You can check out her website here. These are just a few of the great pictures we got taken.
I know I'm biased, but I think that my boys are 2 of the most handsome little things on the planet!!  Look at those faces!!  Caleb was so funny about getting his picture taken.  When we would tell him to smile, he would say "I did!"  He also thought he should choose where to stand or sit instead of letting Baylee position him.  We had a fun evening taking pictures of these two crazies!  LOVE THE PICTURES and LOVE MY BOYS!!

Caleb Monster is 3

Our little monster turned 3 yesterday!!

 Caleb is such a little spit-fire.  Right now he is really independent.  If he wants something done and if I do it, he often times undoes what I did and then he does it again.  He throws the biggest fits of anyone I've seen.  He wants things his way!!  He can also be such a sweetie.  If someone asks to play with his toys he is usually willing to share (this depends on his mood). He loves to give kisses and hugs.  He gives the babies kisses multiple times a day.  He loves to play outside in the dirt. Digging holes is something he does almost every day!  He loves feeding the animals and doing most anything outside.  He also loves anything to do with horses, cows and trucks/tractors.  He is ALL boy!
We had a birthday party for him on Sunday and he sure is loved and he was so happy with his cake and all his gifts.  I usually pin a bunch of cakes on pinterest and let the boys pick out the cake they want... good thing I have some talented sisters-in-law to make cakes for us.  Jamie made his cake this year and it turned out great!

On Monday we took the boys to an old barn to get some pictures.  I had bribed them saying if they smile good for Baylee and take some good pictures we would get a snow cone... well it started out pretty good.  Kelson did amazing this year for taking pictures.  When we would tell Caleb to smile he would say "I did" and when we would say smile again he would say "I did" or "I am" haha If Baylee said how about you come stand over here, he would say "No how about here" and stand somewhere else.  He kept getting so distracted but he kept us laughing.

4 Months Old!

These two cuties turned 4 months on the 4th of this month. 

They are pretty good babies if I don't eat foods that give them tummy aches.

Leah is 21 1/2 inches long and 9 pounds 1 ounce.  She smiles and coos so much.  She has laughed a few times and it is the cutest sound you've ever heard!! She loves to put her dress in her mouth and suck on her fingers or thumbs.  She is sleeping around 8-9 hours at night and takes lots of short naps through-out the day.  This week she started rolling over but she still gets stuck on her arm and boy does it make her mad! She is so much fun to have in our home we love her to pieces.

 

Noah is 22 1/2 inches long and 10 pounds.  He smiles and coos lots.  His smile always has his tongue out it is adorable! Just in the last week he decided he quite likes his thumb and he sucks it to soothe awake or asleep.  He is also sleeping around 8-9 hours at night and he usually takes one long nap and a few short ones each day.  This week he started swatting at the toys that hang above him on the play mats. He focuses so much on moving objects.  He is pretty chill and so sweet we just love our handsome little Noah.

Preschool Graduation

 Well, Kelson is growing up way too fast!  He is such a great helper and such a fun little boy.  This week he graduated from Preschool which is hard to believe.  He loved going to Miss Marlene's class.  His favorite day was Friday's cause he loved show and tell.  He got to make chalk in preschool, and at the beginning of the school year they planted some seeds to learn about roots.  Kelson was pretty excited that when they pulled the "grass" out to look at the roots his roots were the longest.  I'm glad he got to go to preschool this year he loved it.  I guess he must get a lot of his personality from his dad, because I am not shy and I don't know that I have ever been shy.  But Kelson is SO SO shy.  And he likes to play with some of the kids, but I know he chooses to play by himself too.  Holly told me a story about preschool... she said her daughter came home from preschool upset because no one picked her for snack.  She said "No one picked me for snack and kelson even sat by himself.  So, we both ate snack alone!!" She was pretty bummed, and Kelson probably didn't even care one bit!  The shyness really came out last night at graduation.  He refused to go on the stage with his class.  He started crying that he wanted Grandma... haha.  It was sad but kinda funny.  When the graduating class walked across the stage as their names were called he wouldn't go.  They announced his name and then said "Kelson is a little shy and opted not to come out, lets clap for him for graduating anyway" haha

3 Months and some stats!

It is hard to believe that the twins are already 3 months old!!  They are so much work, but they are so so fun.  Right around their 3 month birthday they started really smiling a lot.  I love the reward of smiles!  

We have a little scale we weigh the babies on.  I usually weigh them every Sunday, cause it is fun to see how much they grow each week.  On their 3 month mark: Leah weighed 7 pounds 14 ounces and Noah weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces.  They are really growing like weeds!!  Last Sunday Leah weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and Noah weighed 9 pounds.  They have both doubled their weight since birth!

Noah started wearing 0-3 month clothes at the beginning of May and Leah is just starting to wear 0-3 month clothes now.

They usually eat between 9-10 and then they wake up to eat anywhere between 4 and 6.  It is nice that they are starting to sleep a little longer.

A Special Day

On the twins 3 month birthday (May 4, 2014) they were blessed by their dad.

 Trevor is such a great dad and an amazing example to me and our children.  He has such a strong testimony and has the spirit close.  He gave Leah and Noah such great blessings.  Some of the things I remember from Leah's blessing: he blessed her with strength that her physical body can grow and be healthy, and also he blessed her to be a great example and someone her brothers can always look to for advice.  Some of the things I remember from Noah's blessing: He blessed him to grow up willing and wanting to serve a mission for the Lord and also that he will always be a friend to his family and those he is around.
We have such supportive family and the babies were lucky to have all but 2 uncles in the circle. (Bradley, Brandon, Ivica, Clint, Chase, Brant, Jeff and Melvin all stood in the circles).  Following church we came back to our house and visited and ate a yummy dinner.  It was a very special day.

The place where the trains are

Last week there was a historical train "the Big Boy" going through Modena.  It was supposed to be in Modena at 5:00 and leave there at 5:30.  We (Me and Jamie and kids) decided to go out to see it.  Well, when we first got there we heard it was about an hour behind schedule, but that is no big deal.

Around 5:00 or 5:15 a train went by (not the Big Boy) and the boys loved it.  Not long after that we heard the train wouldn't be there until 8 or 830. We decided to wait and it was kinda hard with 6 kids under the age of 5 who had not eaten dinner and we didn't have much for food or drink.  At about 745 we gave up the wait cause we heard the train would not be there until closer to 9.  We saw one other train while we waited so the kids thought it was worth the time to be there.  Bummer we missed seeing the train that got there about 45 minutes after we left but oh well.  Still fun for a day out of the house.  Caleb thought it was fun enough he kept talking about "the place where the trains are" he asked to go back there about 3 times in the next 2 days.  Maybe a picnic trip to Modena is going to happen next week.
