PICTURES AND A QUICK UPDATE

Well, It's been a really long time since I've posted. So here is a quick update...

Over Memorial Day weekend, We went with Trevor's family up on Boulder Mountain to go camping. It was my first and last camping trip during pregnancy. It was a little uncomfortable and there wasn't much I could do, but sit. But it was still pretty fun.

A few weeks later... on June 6th, Andrea and Rebekah with help from my mother in law put together a great babyshower. Thanks to everyone who came. And thanks for all the great gifts. It was a fun time. We played a couple games and ate some yummy treats. It turned out great. Thanks! That was a fun weekend because most of my family came down, so we got to spend some time with them.





Baby update... he is still growing lots, and so I'm I. Although I'm quite lucky everyone tells me I'm still small. I only have 5 weeks left til my due date and it seems like time has started going slower and slower. The nursery is pretty much finished, so now we are just waiting. We still haven't decided on a name, but we have a few picked out. We know we will never truly be ready, but we are preparing as much as possible.

Late Happy Mothers Day

Well, I don't have any recent pictures of my mom or my mother in law, but I wanted to wish them a happy mothers day. I want to tell them thanks for everything they do for me. I look up to you both! I hope I can be as a good of a mom as you two are. I love you! Hope you had a wonderful mothers day!

The KitchenAid

A couple of weeks ago, I bought a KitchenAid. I wanted to learn how to bake better...

So, I decided to get brave and try something new...

I made Cinnamon rolls for the first time in my life! They turned out pretty good, but the first roll of dough was really ugly. Then once I got the hang of it... they looked like Cinnamon rolls! Why anyone would actually make dough without a KitchenAid or Bosch is beyond me! The KitchenAid has become my best friend in the kitchen. Can you guess which ones I made first?

Salt Lake Baby Shower

Last Friday we had a graduation celebration/babyshower! My aunt Alice was kind enough to let us have the party at her house. And my sisters were kind enough to plan it. Thanks :)
We played a few games, ate some cake, and had a fun time!
I got lots of really great gifts. Thanks by the way! It's weird how getting stuff for the baby makes it seem more real. I'm more excited for the little guy to be born, so I can use all my gifts! Thanks everyone for a great time.

Rebekah Graduation!

Hooray for Rebs! Last week she graduated with her Masters degree from the University of Utah! We are very happy for her! Congrats Rebs!

A long vacation story WITHOUT any pictures

Trevor got off his mission the beginning of March in 2007, and that following April he and some of his family went back up to Idaho (where he served) for a baptism of people he taught. Then, this last April, Me, Trevor, and his parents went for the same family to be sealed in the temple. So, this year... no big event to go for... we went anyway. We figured we could celebrate our year anniversary and actually go somewhere before the baby gets here.
Thursday morning we headed to Boise. I thought it was a long drive last year... it seems much longer when you are pregnant and uncomfortable. Needless to say we made a lot of stops.
We figured a lot of the people Trevor would want to visit would be working Friday so we ventured up to McCall. It was very pretty drive up there. I'll have to get the pictures off the camera and post them. (While we were in McCall is the only time we even used the camera) The lake was still frozen over so there wasn't much to do, but it was fun to go.
That evening we went to visit the Filkins family, the Busby family and Twain & Bug. The Filkins are the family that we've gone up for before they are doing really good. The Busby family are the Filkins neighbors and friends. It was so fun to see them again. Twain was the mission leader in one of the area's Trevor served. Visiting him and his wife is always entertaining. They are really great people. Saturday we were kinda lazy (it's a vacation... what do you expect?!) We went to visit Craig Cornwall, who was always good friends with the missionaries in the area. We spent a good part of Saturday morning with him. He is quite humorous! We had a good visit. Unfortunately his wife and kids weren't home so we didn't get to see them, but it was still great to see him. The rest of that day we shopped and played the roll of "tourist." We went to dinner with the Filkins and Busby's and that was a good time. Sunday we had a BBQ at the Busby's house with the Filkins and the missionaries. The weather was perfect. Later that evening we went to visit the Gordon's. They are great people, Trevor also taught and baptized them while he was out. They are very welcoming. Sarah definitely has her hands full with her 4 kids. They are so cute. It was fun to see them again. That was pretty much the end of Idaho. Early Monday morning we hit the road to come back to Utah. We decided to take a different route. We went down through Pocatello and stopped in Smithfield to see my mom. She made us the yummiest lunch! Thanks mom :) Then we made a quick stop in Logan to see my friend Rachel. It's fun to see her and talk to her. We are both experiencing pregnancy for the first time, so that's fun. Then we made the rest of the drive. And it was pretty long! Oh yeah... Sarah, we saw the "Abandoned" gas station in Raft River. Too creepy to stop! haha

An Extremely Random Story

So, On Tuesday morning I got up bright and early to get ready for work. Well, I love to sleep. After hitting the snooze on the alarm one too many times; I finally got up and had to really hurry to be to work on time. I get all ready, packed my lunch, packed Trevor's lunch, and head out the door. So far it's just a normal work day... Driving with the pedal to the metal cause I'm running late. This is when the story gets interesting... Literally out of nowhere a bird, a BIG STUPID BIRD, flew out in front of my car... no time to swerve... I hit the bird! But it wasn't just a little hit. First it hit my hood, then bounced up and hit my windshield. Well, the worst part of my story... It put some very lovely dents in my hood!!
Seriously??? Who hits a bird and gets a dent in their car?!?! Thinking about it... it's really quite funny, but when I look at my car... It's not funny at all. Check it out...
