New Sewing Machine

I've decied that I quite enjoy sewing, so... I bought me a machine!  YAY!!  I'm "sew" excited (haha)!

TV and Magazines please...

He also LOVES paper!!!  The magazine rack and all the magazines have become his new best toys!

He is 7 months old today!  Love you Kelson :)

a little this and a little that

Well, we haven't really been up to much lately:
I quit my job at the Enterprise Pharmacy.  Now I just work "as needed" at the hospital. Which has actually turned into almost a part time job, but what do ya do?!  Trevor's job is still hangin in there enough to keep him busy.  When he isn't working on he goes mountain lion hunting, and I think he really loves it.

Julie was in Enterprise for a week, so we of course got together... Collin and Kelson are 6 months apart, Kelson didn't have too much interest in Collin, but eventually they'll be buds. 
Julie is way talented with Crocheting.  She made Kelson such a little beanie, and he looks so cute in it!

Anyway, Kelson is already six months old!  Time goes by so fast.  He is really starting to show his little personality.  He definately loves people!

laughes lots, especially when he is tired
loves carrots and bananas
hates pears and doesn't handle peaches
sleeps all night- still :)
crawl/scoots backwards
sits (kinda wobbly like) on his own

eats anything and everything he gets his hands on
loves to watch baby einstein
and much more!

Kelson's first Christmas

This year was definately different than any Christmas we've ever had for 2 reasons... 1- Severe Colds 2- Kelson

The weekend before Christmas, most of my family was in town.  We had a little party... we each got to open our gift from each other. (We draw names)  It was a good ole time, we talked, we laughed, we ate, and... well that's about all we did besides open gifts of course.
On Christmas Eve, I was super sick with the cold. Trevor went hunting most the day. In the evening we went to Trevor's parents house for some grub... and we enjoyed each others company.

Christmas morning, we slept in as late as Kelson would allow.  We got up around 7:30. I was still pretty sick, and Kelson was getting sicker...  Regardless, we had a fun time opening our gifts.  As usual Trevor spoiled me way too much... but I love it ;)  Although, I think Kelson got pretty spoiled too.  He mostly got clothes which is good, because that is what he needed.  He got some toys, and a blanket (that I actually made).  Trevor got some binoculars, bullets, and "That 70's Show" on DVD.  I got red boots, purse, gift card, and more.  It was a really great morning.

After we opened gifts, we made breakfast and went to visit my fam.  From Andrea's we headed to grandma and grandpa Barlow's.

Shortly after that we went to Trevor's family's house... The boys went hunting and me, Kelson, Miste, Brett, and Christy ate Christmas dinner and just hung out.  It almost seemed like any other Saturday.  But it was GREAT.

Unfortunately the day after Christmas I had to take Kelson to the instacare, where we waited for 2+ hours to be seen.  I took him mostly for his cough... but, turns out the doc couldn't do anything for that.  Although she thought he might have mild ear infections, so she put him on an antibiotic.  Poor guy... Teething, cold, and ear infections all at once.  Luckily we are doing much better now.  Still just waiting for teeth.

5 months and a Christmas tree

Kelson is 5 months old today.  It is amazing how fast the time goes.  Kelson amazes me everyday with all the new stuff he learns. 
Things he is doing at 5 months:
~ smiling lots
~ rolling from front to back, and back to front
~ laughing
~ recognizes the bottle
~ holds the on to the bottle when he is being fed (can't quite hold it himself yet)
~ plays with his feet lots
~ holding on to his toys
~ sleeping between 8-11 hours at night
~ etc...

We went looking for a Christmas tree, and it was really cold, so we looked from the truck.  When we found one we liked... Trevor got out and cut it down, while Kelson and I waited in the warm truck.  It was fun even though it more like a drive than a tree hunt.

I'm thankful for...

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, not only because I love to eat, but because it is the reminder that I need to be grateful for all the things that I so often take for granted.
I have so so much to be grateful for...

First of all I'm thankful for my beautiful and healthy baby, Kelson. He is already 4 1/2 months old. He amazes me everyday with all the new things he learns. He makes our home a place of laughter, and happiness. I'm so grateful that God blessed us with him!

I'm thankful for my handsome husband. He is such an amazing person, and I love him so so much! He NEVER complains about anything! He is such a hard worker, a "handy-man" around the house, he has an amazing testimony, he makes me laugh everyday, and he has so much love for me and Kelson. I'm so lucky to have him for all eternity!

I'm thankful that God trusted me enough to be a mom. I love being a wife and a mom. I have learned so many things. Patience is one of the things I'm still working on, but I think it has improved. I never knew you could love something or someone so much as your own children.

I'm thankful for our siblings.
I'm thankful for our mom's, who help us out in SO many ways.
I'm thankful for our home.
I'm thankful for our jobs in this bad economy.
I'm thankful for our callings in the ward.
I'm thankful for the Book of Mormon.
I'm thankful for the modern day prophets.
I'm thankful for Joseph Smith
I'm thankful for all the friends that we have.
I'm thankful for the opportunity to be a visiting teacher.

And last but NOT least, I'm thankful for Jesus Christ. That he was willing to live and to die for me. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain he must have felt in the garden, or on the cross. I am eternally grateful that he did atone for my sins, so that I can live again. I'm so grateful to know that I can see my dad and grandma again. And that I can be with my family for eternity.

Halloween and such...

I saw this costume at walmart for like $7, so I bought it. We just went to Andrea's and grandma and grandpa Gardner's houses... it was fun though. Kelson made such a cute little giraffe.

Kelson loves to sit up, so we got him a bumbo... and he loves it!!! He also enjoys watching baby einstein. He gets so excited when little babies are on the screen it's so funny. He loves anything that makes noise. He is growing so fast, and we are trying to enjoy every minute of it.

Other than that, there isn't much new with us... My work schedule is changing... agian. Starting next week I'll be working every Monday and Wednesday and everyother Friday all day (9-6), but I'll have all the other days off!!! So, we'll see how that goes.
