HapPy seCoND AnNivErsARy!

Trevor and I aren't big fans of the big city... but since we were going to Vegas for a cousin's wedding we decided to stay the weekend for our anniversary.

After all the wedding fun we decided to experince Vegas... 

We went to the Stratasphere, but we are cheap so we didn't want to pay $15 each to go to the top.  Instead we gambled $3 and Trevor made it back. He won $3.51.  Haha we are big spenders in the casino.  We ended up in the arcade and we won about 170 tickets, so we got Kelson a rubber duck wearing a cowboy hat.  Yeah that duck ended up costing about $4.50!  Then we decided to go down the strip...  just driving the strip is a joke on a Friday night.  We ended up at the Bellagio where we watched the fountain show.

 That was about all of the Strip we could handle for one night. So we headed back to our hotel, which turned out to be very nice. We were on the 10th floor in a very nice suite. Yay for hotwire and $74 hotels! When we got up after sleeping in on Saturday we went to the outlets and did some shopping. Believe it or not... I bought stuff for Kelson and Trevor and nothing for myself!  Anyway it was a nice get-a-way.  Thanks mom and Kalynn for tending Kelson!

Happy Anniversary Babe!  I wouldn't change anything from the last 2 1/2 years.  LOVE YOU!

Something new to play with...

I haven't updated the blog for a little while, because nothing is going on with us really...
Kelson is 8 1/2 months old now.  He crawls everywhere and gets into everything. example:

Now that he is mobile he HATES to be in the car seat and to be held for long periods of time, he just wants to go!  He gets stranger anxiety around big crowds if he can't see me.  Such a momma's boy.  A few weeks ago, he was totally content to play on the floor while I was cutting out material.  As soon as my visiting teachers got here, he cried until I picked him up.  Silly boy!  He is eating solids mostly he still has 2 or 3 bottles a day.  Although, it is still a nightmare trying to get him to eat veggies. (He's a lot like his dad when it comes to eating I guess)

Well, unfortunately Kelson has had a cold for about a week, and then he got an ear infection.  Poor little guy!  He is getting better, but it is a slow process. 

He is crawling everywhere!!  I have to check on him more often because he is in to everything.  Plus he is starting to climb.  He pulls himself up on things, but he is still pretty tipsy.  He has had a few bumps and bruises.  Now that he is moble he doesn't like to watch baby einstein as much... he would much rather be moving!

Trevor's little brother Brett put his cowboy hat on Kelson, and he didn't even care... It was cute!

New Sewing Machine

I've decied that I quite enjoy sewing, so... I bought me a machine!  YAY!!  I'm "sew" excited (haha)!

TV and Magazines please...

Kelson loves to watch baby einstein.  This his new thing while watching it...

He also LOVES paper!!!  The magazine rack and all the magazines have become his new best toys!

He is 7 months old today!  Love you Kelson :)

a little this and a little that

Well, we haven't really been up to much lately:
I quit my job at the Enterprise Pharmacy.  Now I just work "as needed" at the hospital. Which has actually turned into almost a part time job, but what do ya do?!  Trevor's job is still hangin in there enough to keep him busy.  When he isn't working on he goes mountain lion hunting, and I think he really loves it.

Julie was in Enterprise for a week, so we of course got together... Collin and Kelson are 6 months apart, Kelson didn't have too much interest in Collin, but eventually they'll be buds. 
Julie is way talented with Crocheting.  She made Kelson such a little beanie, and he looks so cute in it!

Anyway, Kelson is already six months old!  Time goes by so fast.  He is really starting to show his little personality.  He definately loves people!

Kelson's first Christmas

This year was definately different than any Christmas we've ever had for 2 reasons... 1- Severe Colds 2- Kelson

The weekend before Christmas, most of my family was in town.  We had a little party... we each got to open our gift from each other. (We draw names)  It was a good ole time, we talked, we laughed, we ate, and... well that's about all we did besides open gifts of course.
On Christmas Eve, I was super sick with the cold. Trevor went hunting most the day. In the evening we went to Trevor's parents house for some grub... and we enjoyed each others company.

Christmas morning, we slept in as late as Kelson would allow.  We got up around 7:30. I was still pretty sick, and Kelson was getting sicker...  Regardless, we had a fun time opening our gifts.  As usual Trevor spoiled me way too much... but I love it ;)  Although, I think Kelson got pretty spoiled too.  He mostly got clothes which is good, because that is what he needed.  He got some toys, and a blanket (that I actually made).  Trevor got some binoculars, bullets, and "That 70's Show" on DVD.  I got red boots, purse, gift card, and more.  It was a really great morning.

After we opened gifts, we made breakfast and went to visit my fam.  From Andrea's we headed to grandma and grandpa Barlow's.

Shortly after that we went to Trevor's family's house... The boys went hunting and me, Kelson, Miste, Brett, and Christy ate Christmas dinner and just hung out.  It almost seemed like any other Saturday.  But it was GREAT.

Unfortunately the day after Christmas I had to take Kelson to the instacare, where we waited for 2+ hours to be seen.  I took him mostly for his cough... but, turns out the doc couldn't do anything for that.  Although she thought he might have mild ear infections, so she put him on an antibiotic.  Poor guy... Teething, cold, and ear infections all at once.  Luckily we are doing much better now.  Still just waiting for teeth.
