Well, it just so happens that we live right on the center line pretty much for seeing the perfect ring of fire with the eclipse. But, we weren't very prepared to watch it.

On Sunday when Christy got home from church there was a guy at her house asking permission to set up his telescopes and things for picture taking. He had traveled in his van all by himself from Albuquerque to see this and hopefully get some amazing pictures. They decided it would be a great view from grandpa's field in New Castle. So, he invited us all down to watch it with him. At about 640 we headed to the field. Kevin, he was an interesting fellow, but I think he loved being the "science teacher" for the evening. He really knows his stuff and had some film that we could look through. He also had this amazing telescope that he built hoping to get some amazing pictures. Thanks crazy Kevin for letting us be part of the experience.
