A long vacation story WITHOUT any pictures

Trevor got off his mission the beginning of March in 2007, and that following April he and some of his family went back up to Idaho (where he served) for a baptism of people he taught. Then, this last April, Me, Trevor, and his parents went for the same family to be sealed in the temple. So, this year... no big event to go for... we went anyway. We figured we could celebrate our year anniversary and actually go somewhere before the baby gets here.
Thursday morning we headed to Boise. I thought it was a long drive last year... it seems much longer when you are pregnant and uncomfortable. Needless to say we made a lot of stops.
We figured a lot of the people Trevor would want to visit would be working Friday so we ventured up to McCall. It was very pretty drive up there. I'll have to get the pictures off the camera and post them. (While we were in McCall is the only time we even used the camera) The lake was still frozen over so there wasn't much to do, but it was fun to go.
That evening we went to visit the Filkins family, the Busby family and Twain & Bug. The Filkins are the family that we've gone up for before they are doing really good. The Busby family are the Filkins neighbors and friends. It was so fun to see them again. Twain was the mission leader in one of the area's Trevor served. Visiting him and his wife is always entertaining. They are really great people. Saturday we were kinda lazy (it's a vacation... what do you expect?!) We went to visit Craig Cornwall, who was always good friends with the missionaries in the area. We spent a good part of Saturday morning with him. He is quite humorous! We had a good visit. Unfortunately his wife and kids weren't home so we didn't get to see them, but it was still great to see him. The rest of that day we shopped and played the roll of "tourist." We went to dinner with the Filkins and Busby's and that was a good time. Sunday we had a BBQ at the Busby's house with the Filkins and the missionaries. The weather was perfect. Later that evening we went to visit the Gordon's. They are great people, Trevor also taught and baptized them while he was out. They are very welcoming. Sarah definitely has her hands full with her 4 kids. They are so cute. It was fun to see them again. That was pretty much the end of Idaho. Early Monday morning we hit the road to come back to Utah. We decided to take a different route. We went down through Pocatello and stopped in Smithfield to see my mom. She made us the yummiest lunch! Thanks mom :) Then we made a quick stop in Logan to see my friend Rachel. It's fun to see her and talk to her. We are both experiencing pregnancy for the first time, so that's fun. Then we made the rest of the drive. And it was pretty long! Oh yeah... Sarah, we saw the "Abandoned" gas station in Raft River. Too creepy to stop! haha

An Extremely Random Story

So, On Tuesday morning I got up bright and early to get ready for work. Well, I love to sleep. After hitting the snooze on the alarm one too many times; I finally got up and had to really hurry to be to work on time. I get all ready, packed my lunch, packed Trevor's lunch, and head out the door. So far it's just a normal work day... Driving with the pedal to the metal cause I'm running late. This is when the story gets interesting... Literally out of nowhere a bird, a BIG STUPID BIRD, flew out in front of my car... no time to swerve... I hit the bird! But it wasn't just a little hit. First it hit my hood, then bounced up and hit my windshield. Well, the worst part of my story... It put some very lovely dents in my hood!!
Seriously??? Who hits a bird and gets a dent in their car?!?! Thinking about it... it's really quite funny, but when I look at my car... It's not funny at all. Check it out...

IT'S A BOY

Yesterday, Trevor and I went to the doctor for an ultra-sound... It is such an amazing thing. We were able to see the heart beating, see his stomach, the umbilical cord, his head, his ribs, his... (that's how we know it's a boy!!) and etc. Then we were able to see some 3D and 4D ultra-sound pictures of his face. We saw his eye lids, his mouth, and his nose. It seems more real to me now.
He is growing good, and seems to be healthy.
The doctor confirmed my due date at July 29th! We are really excited to be having a boy!
We started painting the nursery, and today I picked out the crib set and theme for the room. I'm getting so excited doing stuff for the little fella!

Getting Bigger...

Well, I'm starting to show... and I'm slowly getting bigger! The pictures of me are really bad, but you can see that I'm prego. I went to the doctor yesterday, and everything is good. I scheduled my next ultra sound for march 26th. I'm excited to find out the sex, since so many people seem to think it's a girl.

WHAT'S NEW??

CHURCH CALLINGS: Well, I was really surprised when about 2 weeks ago, I was released from sunbeams. I was even more surprised when I was called to be the Young Women Secretary! It is pretty time consuming, but so far I'm really liking it. It is definately not a calling I was expecting... but it'll be great. Trevor is teaching Gospel Essentials. I think he likes it alright. I think he does a very good job teaching.
BABY INFO: Not much new in the baby department. I'm starting to show, but I'm luckily not very big (so everyone says). I already feel fat, so I'm sure I'll be in for a real treat when I'm actually BIG!! I have felt it move some, but not very often. But it was really exciting to feel it move for the first time, I almost cried! Haha. I found that I'm quite emotional lately. As for the gender... still unknown to us.

Surprise

Well... It seems like I don't really need to say much. We have known for quite a while. We went to our very first doctor appointment on Dec. 18, and found that our home pregnancy tests (yep tests. I didn't believe the 1st one, I took 3) were true! We weren't able to get a due date at that point. The doctor thought we were about 6 or 7 weeks. So, we scheduled our next appointment for an ultra-sound on Jan. 29. We did the ultra-sound and to our suprise we were further along than expected! We found out we were 14 weeks and 1 day. We got to hear the hearbeat, and it was amazing. I was excited before, but after seeing the little baby and hearing it's heart beat it seems more real. I'm starting to love it already!!!Trevor, and I are both excited, but I think I'm a little more afraid than he is. We haven't decided yet if we will find out the sex of the baby. Trevor doesn't want to, but I do! If we find out it will be around week 22. So... We'll try to keep ya posted!
